Millwork Materials Made For Your Project

We specialize in synthetic architectural materials, weighing their unique properties, pros, cons and capabilities to maximize your project requirements. Because of their durability and low maintenance, Polyurethane and PVC are usually the best choice for mouldings, corbels, and other decorative elements. We also offer fiberglass and wood products for applications that require load-bearing capabilities.

Polyurethane

Polyurethane millwork products are the industry’s top alternative to traditional wood millwork. They offer the appearance of wood with the performance of a far more durable material.

Polyurethane is rugged enough to protect against the elements and consistently outperforms wood in terms of water resistance, paint adhesion, retention of joint and seam structure.

What does this mean for your application? Lower maintenance costs over time. Here’s why:

  • Won’t rot, peel or decay
  • No seasonal movement
  • Comes pre-primed and ready to paint
  • Lightweight and saves on labor

PVC

PVC is another trusted material alternative to traditional wood millwork products. PVC millwork products are highly durable, low maintenance and moisture resistant.

PVC excels in numerous exterior and interior applications but, due to its distinct manufacturing process, it’s limited to more basic shapes, designs and sizes.

Over time, PVC is less expensive than wood in cost comparison. Here’s why:

  • Won’t rot, peel or decay
  • Doesn’t break down when exposed to UV light
  • Has a similar density to oak

Wood

The tried and true traditional building material, wood comes with a host of benefits but can be tough to find in classic quality.

The majority of wood that’s supplied by local vendors is “new growth wood,” i.e. new growth pine, radiata pine and finger jointed wood. These products appear to be cost effective, but they lack the quality and durability of long-established old growth wood.

A few of the benefits of old growth wood include:

  • Tightly packed growth rings for denser wood
  • Less warping
  • Better rot resistance
  • Less splintering & splitting

Fiberglass

Fiberglass is a strong and long-lasting material that is reliable enough for use in extreme elements, offers an attractive modern appearance, and lowers the costs of maintenance, shipping and storage.

There are several benefits to working with fiberglass molding:

  • Stronger than sheet metal
  • Visually appealing
  • Cost-effective
  • Enhance acoustics
  • Compared to wood, plastic and metal, fiberglass has the least expansion and contraction with heat, cold and stress
